Our distinguished guest Dr. Michael Sparer, Ph. D. J.D., is the nation's leading scholar on healthcare policy and chair of the Columbia University Department of Health Policy and Management.
As Chair of the Columbia University Department of Health Policy and Management, Dr. Sparer conducts in-depth research into the policy and politics of healthcare reform. He has been a leading voice for health care reform and has contributed to The New York Times, The Guardian, etc. In addition, Professor Sparer spent seven years as a litigator for the New York City Law Department, specializing in inter-governmental social welfare litigation.
Co-moderating this conversation is Cynthia Chen, MPH. A graduate of Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, Chen currently serves as Vice President of Government Affairs at Pulnovo Medical (Wuxi) Co., Ltd, a cardiovascular device company specializing in pulmonary artery denervation technology and products.
