Our distinguished guest today is Jules Chappell OBE. She served concurrently as the British Ambassador to the Republic of Guatemala, the Republic of Honduras, and the Republic of El Salvador under Prime Ministers Gorden Brown and David Cameron. Arriving in Latin America at the age of 31, she became the youngest-ever British ambassador. Chappell was appointed OBE by the Queen in 2004, in recognition of her contribution to democracy promotion.
Bincheng Mao moderates this interview with Ambassador Chappell OBE. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Inclusion Advocate and President of the East Coast Coalition for Tolerance and Non-Discrimination (ECC). Under his leadership, ECC has mobilized young volunteers from across the country to serve minorities struggling to access health care and other social services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
